Memorial weekend has been eventful for me and mine. An eight hour trip up to Montreal followed by a family birthday supper/dinner party for my sister's twenty-fifth birthday, followed by two late evenings filled with friends and family and capped by another eight hour drive home. It's been a whirlwind weekend and this coming weekend promises to be more of the same.
This weekend my hubby and his brother are surprising my father-in-law for his birthday. It means we will probably be heading out to Sturbridge on Friday after my hubby gets out of work and won't be back again until Sunday night since my youngest brother-in-law is graduating high school on Sunday and there's his graduation party to go to.
I'm usually a very sociable person but I have to admit that I am glad after these long weekends when Monday rolls around and I get back into my usual routine and I have the house to myself. It's kind of the time that I use to get my sanity back. My routine and the solitude (or semi solitude) that I spend with my son help me find my center and let me de-stress. I am glad to be a stay at home mom or SAH as some call it or I would not have the time and I really think that my stress would not help me or my family.

YAY! The Tomboy Gets Pretty!
So after my friend showed me her new manicure and how bulletproof it is, I decided to try it for myself. The new manicure is Shellac and I have to say that it is as bulletproof as my friend told me. I have tried standard nail poilsh with no success since I can't stand to keep my hands still. Now more than ever with a thirteen month old running around. This manicure was ready and done by the end of my appointment and I have not chipped, smudged or imprinted anything in the last 4 hours while doing all kinds of housework and baby care. I feel quite girly and lovely on the down note my supper hasn't arrived yet and they said delivery time was 30 minutes.......grrr
