I have a wonderful husband.
I have known this for quite a while but there are sometimes when his amazing-ness stands out, like this weekend for example.
This past Wednesday my hubby made an executive decision: I needed a night off and so did he. He made arrangements for our baby boy of almost seven months to spend the night at grandpa's and for us to get together with friends we hadn't seen in a while. I had to work that night but it was nice to go out to their house afterwards and have a couple of beers and not have to worry about my little boy for a night. I also got to sleep in the next morning which was a luxury that I want to repeat sometime soon!
It's not always the big things either. For instance for the past couple of days I had mentioned that I would like to change the sheets on our bed but we simply had not gotten around to it. Now our bed is a bit of a pain to change sheets on. It's a platform bed but the platform is sunken into the frame about four inches and the mattress is a queen sized pillow top. I am not weakling by any means but it is far easier to for me to change this bed with help rather than do it alone, not to mention quicker. Anyways, I came home tonight after calling and telling him about my particularly rough evening and after my usual putting around, brushing teeth etcetera, I went to bed. I noticed in the unlit room that the sheets seemed to have a different pattern and leaned down to touch them. I was so excited that he had changed the sheets that I ran out into the living room and hugged him silly. (Yes I really do like sleeping in clean sheets that much!)
To me, as tired as I am, the clean sheets are the perfect ending to a hard day and that's why I think my hubby is totally amazing.
